Is that the problem? Do I need to at least train a message as spam for it to start working? If I remember correctly, when I started using SpamSieve on my Mini, it always started up with Mail, even before I began training it. Now, I haven’t yet received any mail on this new mailing address that was marked as Spam by SpamSieve. And after using it for a couple of weeks, I think it’s going to do a fine job identifying the spam. It appears that SpamSieve uses a very sensible combination of feature detection and Baysian filtering, which is exactly what I want.
I have to manually open SpamSieve every time. I’ve been using Thunderbird for years, but needed a better spam solution, and some searching led me to SpamSieve. And I also restarted the computer several times and quit and relaunched Apple Mail many times as well. I disabled that rule, and no more slowdowns. It turned out this was when the Move if SpamSieve Spam AppleScript was running. Then it would go back to normal after about a minute. I restarted to make sure, enabled the plugin again and all is now back to normal. Michael - as per your advice I had to additionally delete the bundles folder. I tried uninstalling the Apple Mail SpamSieve bundle and then reinstalling it. For weeks, I kept having Apple Mail slow to a crawl, such that I could only type about one character per second, if at all. The current public beta version of SpamSieve is compatible with Apple Mail on the beta version of macOS 12. I tried training several email messages as good, but that didn’t help either. I tried opening it manually, and I get a popup window saying that the popup window will go away once I’ve trained and installed my Apple Mail plugin.
NO SPAMSIEVE THUNDERBIRD PLUGIN MAC
It seems to work just fine on my Mac mini with the latest version of Snow Leopard, but I can’t get it to work on this older iMac. I can’t get SpamSieve to automatically launch with Apple Mail.
